Dear Veterans and Family Members,

On behalf of The Friends of the Soldiers' Home, Inc. and its directors, it is my pleasure to provide you with a concise overview of The Friends.

The Friends was founded in 1998 to assist in the purchasing of goods and services in order to make the lives of the veterans at the Soldiers’ Home in Holyoke more fulfilling.

Over the course of the years, the Friends has purchased equipment to provide immediate and technologically advanced medical care to the veterans at the Home. In addition, the Friends have purchased goods and services to assist in the Quality of Life Program existing at the Home.

Through your donations, the veterans at the Home have enjoyed entertainment and recreational activities not normally found in long-term care facilities.
