Dear Friends:
Our sixth year of operation in support of the Soldiers' Home in Holyoke has been a successful one. We continued to seek grants and donations to fund projects and activities for the Veterans at the Soldiers' Home.
In our sixth year we were able to purchase four (4) Diagnostic Wall Mount Systems, which included an Ophthalmoscope, Transformer, Optic Otoscope, Sphygmomanometer and KleenSpec Specula Dispenser, for the examination rooms in the Outpatient Department at the Soldiers' Home in Holyoke as part of our Technology Upgrade Program. We were also able to purchase a Mobile Aquarium for the viewing and comfort of the Veterans on the 2 North Dementia Unit. Block Grant funds through the Holyoke Community Development helped us continue are support of the Quality of Life Programs. Also, we are again very grateful for C.O.M.E.C.C. contributions by employees of the Soldiers' Home and other state employees as well as the CFC contributions by federal employees and the United Way Donors Choice.
In the coming year we will continue to seek grants and donations for the Veterans at the Soldiers' Home in Holyoke.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and members of The Friends of the Soldiers' Home in Holyoke, Inc., everyone who helped in any way and the staff support from the Soldiers' Home, we thank you.
Sincerely,
Frank J. Cackowski, President Friends of the Soldiers' Home in Holyoke, Inc.
