Dear Friends,

This concludes our eighth year of operation in support of  the Soldiers' Home in Holyoke. Over the past eight years Friends' has raised a total of $281,881.11 through grants, gifts and other donations.

Grant monies were received from Holyoke Community Development & Chicopee Community Development for our Quality of Life Programs. These programs provided quality entertainment to our veterans and was well received by all.

A sleeper sofa was purchased with the monetary donation received form C & S Wholesale. This sleeper sofa will allow a family member to stay by their ailing veterans side during a difficult period.

Again this year we received generous contributions from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Employees Charitable Campaign (C.O.M.E.C.C), the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) and the United Way Donors Choice.

Additional items purchased were holiday decorations, banners, Bingo equipment and electronic basketball.

  In the coming year we will continue to seek grants & donations enabling us to provide quality of life to those who served for us to maintain our freedom.
